St. Thomas, USVI 2012 Testimonials

  • I had a fantastic time on the trip! It was very educational; the boat has a great layout and the company aboard was wonderful! –R.Arnold

  • Steve, I appreciate the experience and the tutelage. The trip was exactly what I expected. In fact, after the first few days, I was scratching my head at how smooth things were going. In my experience, when on the water, things rarely go according to plan. At one point during the trip you looked at the head sail and said, "We are overpowered up front. What does that mean and how can one know?” Thanks for the open invitation for questions! I look forward to more in the future. –C. Creagh

  • I had a great time on the gulf crossing - and would do it again. I felt we learned plenty as this was my first truly offshore passage. I thought the watch system worked well as that gave us experience in all different times. I also liked the times during daylight where we practiced knots, navigation, and other sailing techniques. The experiences of fixing problems that arose was also valuable. Great sailing, good weather, excellent food, knowledgeable captains and great crew made this a pleasant experience!! –Harold

  • We had a great time and really enjoyed being out on the water and living on a boat. While the sights, swimming and sailing (and motoring) were fun; it was the crew that made it a great trip. –The Baldwins

Island Hopping Legs
Are planned to be lazy and carefree: With plenty of time for sightseeing, swimming and just generally enjoying life aboard and at anchor. Many lessons will be made available during these legs as well, for those that want to learn. Things like picking a proper anchorage, setting anchor, dingy operations and many more topics that can be discussed and reviewed.

Leg 1 – August 10 St. Thomas USVI to St. Martin. Approx 5-6 days passage.

Leg 2 – Aug 18 St. Martin to St. Lucia. 5-6 day passage with stops or two at tropical islands as time and weather permit.

In Between Destinations
You will gain experience at anchoring, picking up mooring balls and reading water depths based on the color of the water.

You’ll have plenty of time for snorkeling, spear fishing and just plain relaxing in remote exotic spots.
