Ask Me What I Can Do For You
Selling a boat is not unlike buying one — you will still need someone who has the experience and knowledge to get the job done.
When looking for a broker to list your boat, you should be asking yourself these questions:
Is my broker experienced not only in sales, but YACHT sales and for how long?
Capt Rick and the brokers at Little Yacht Sales (LYS) have over 27 years of experience exclusively in yacht sales.
Will the brokers in this office treat my boat like it was their own listing?
The brokers in my office act as a team in every listing. We all help each other.
Is my broker particular about what he lists? Is he trying to manage a lot of listings, or a few quality listings?
Our motto is that we personally inspect every boat we list. We do not list every boat we see.
Does LYS have resources and contacts in the industry to get the word out on my boat? and Will LYS be open to co-brokering my boat?
Over 27 years of co-brokering has enabled the brokers at LYS to build a network from which to work from in buying or selling.
If a co-broker calls LYS about one of our listings they can be assured we will work with him to the best of our ability to help him sell the boat as well.
Is my broker licensed to buy and sell in the state of Florida?
Yes, Florida license #1815 which is also accepted in the state of California.
We believe in doing more detailed listings than most brokers. Ask to see a sample. Carefully analyzing the data and securing a proper listing is only part of the job.
Has my broker passed the Certified Professional Yacht Broker exam?
YES! Not only is Kent Little, the principal at LYS, the first broker in Texas to receive the accreditation, but I am also instrumental in helping to set-up a national accreditation.
With my assistance, the brokers in my previous office received their certifications — it was the first office in the U.S. to have ALL CPYB Brokers! Certification is a priority for LYS as well. All LYS brokers are CPYB certified, or CPYB brokers in training.
What will my broker do that will set my boat apart from the others that are on the market?
I will personally inspect your boat and offer suggestions on how to maximize your boat’s dockside appeal and obtain the highest asking price.
We believe in doing more detailed listings than most brokers. Ask to see a sample.
Carefully analyzing the data and securing a proper listing is only part of the job.We at LYS will provide detailed photographs of your boat, more than just what is listed online. When an out-of-state buyer calls seeking information about your boat, he’ll have photos in his hands within an hour in order to show why your boat is better than any of the others listed.
Is my broker using state of the art technology to sell my boat?
We began using digital photos and videos before anyone else.
As your broker, it is my job to give you the data needed, so that together we can really see what your boat is worth. And, to evaluate not only the asking price, but also how long it might take to sell. A free market analysis is offered with every listing inquiry.
Will my broker keep me informed?
We will keep you informed monthly, usually via email, about the asking price and how it is compares to similar boats on the market.
It does neither of us any good to list a boat and just wait for someone to come along. We have to be proactive about the price and what is happening in the market.
So how do we get started in selling my boat?
Just call me today at (832)738-6251, or email me.
